DEPD Hyderabad Delegation Visits SEERAH Foundation for Establishment of the Special Education & Rehabilitation Center at Town Bakher Jamali

SEERAH Foundation Office in Town Bakher Jamali, District Matiari had the distinct honor of welcoming Mr. Imtiaz Khan, Regional Director, DEPD Hyderabad Division, and Mr. Muhammad Faheem, Assistant Director, DEPD Hyderabad on 10th February, 2026.

The distinguished guests were warmly received by the Board of Directors. Mr. Zohaib Jaffar, General Secretary of SEERAH Foundation presented a comprehensive briefing on the Foundation ongoing and upcoming initiatives, particularly establishment of the Special Education & Rehabilitation Center at Town Bakher Jamali; which will serve as a beacon of hope for differently abled children in the region.

The Regional Director underscored the importance of category-wise registration of differently abled children aged 5–15 years to ensure timely provision of essential facilities and assistive devices. He highlighted that the Honorable Chief Minister of Sindh and the Secretary, DEPD, are committed to promoting inclusive education and ensuring that every person with a disability is provided with appropriate assistive support according to their needs.

The delegation later visited the proposed center, being developed in collaboration with DEPD, and appreciated the dedicated efforts of SEERAH Foundation. They assured full institutional support for initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.

Together, SEERAH Foundation and DEPD reaffirm their shared commitment to building an inclusive, accessible, and empowered future for children with special needs in the region.
